Contemplation and the glory of God - Jeff Chacon

Jeff Chacon has spent his life pursuing a closer walk with God. Converted in 1981, he served 36 years in the full-time ministry before retiring in 2022 and now serves as an Elder for the Anchor Point Church in Tampa, Florida. He also serves on the Leadership Team of the Florida Region of Churches, as well as being one of the designated Florida Peacemakers to help with conflict resolution around the state.

He's written two books on the spiritual life: "Dare to Dream Again" (2002) and "A Fool's Journey" (2024). He's been married to the love of his life for almost 40 years, has three grown sons, three fantastic daughters in law, and eight adorable grandchildren.

Soul Care in the midst of suffering - Dr. Jennifer Konzen 

Dr. Konzen is the director for the Center for Sexuality in San Diego, CA. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist, a certified sex therapist, and a certified chemical dependency counselor.

She is also a two-time nationally award-winning researcher, an international speaker, and an adjunct professor in San Diego at Bethel Seminary and Alliant International University, and online at Rocky Mountain School of Ministry and Theology.  Dr. Konzen is the author of The Art of Intimate Marriage and Redeemed Sexuality and the newly released The Ransomed Journey: Couples Recovery from Addiction. 

Jennifer lives with her family in beautiful San Diego, California, where she has been involved with shepherding and leading in the married, youth and family ministries.

Paying attention: Picture, Scripture, Fixture: God's presence in everything - Dr Jeanie Shaw

Jennifer is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of California, holding a Master’s Degree in Professional Clinical Counseling from Liberty University. For over three decades, she has faithfully served in full-time ministry—20 of those years alongside her husband and three children as a missionary in Thailand, Cambodia, and the Philippines.

Today, Jennifer continues to pour her heart into ministry as the Senior Women’s Ministry Leader at the Valley Church in Los Angeles, while also walking alongside individuals and families through her private counseling practice. Her greatest passion is helping others transform into the likeness of Christ through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, experience His love/healing, and discover their God-given mission.

Outside of ministry, Jennifer finds joy in cheering for her favorite teams—the San Francisco 49ers and LA Dodgers—and cherishes her weekly Sabbath Rest at the beach with her husband, where they delight in God through meditation, prayer walks, books and a restful nap under the sun.

A Spirit-led "Discipling" time - How to help each other walk with God in a healthy, loving way (Class 5 in the Holistic discipling series) - Robert & Michele Carrillo

Robert Carrillo grew up in California and was educated at the University of San Diego and San Diego State University, receiving a bachelor’s degree in History and Social Work. Later, Robert studied at Pepperdine University, where he received a Masters in Divinity. Robert recently completed a doctorate in Ministry at Fuller Theological Seminary.

He currently serves as Vice President of the Mountain Theological Seminary and President of The Way Ministry. Michele has served in the ministry over 37 years and recently completed training in Spiritual Coaching and Spiritual Formation. Robert and Michele have been married for 34 years and have three adult children and four grandchildren.

Robert and Michele were baptized in the Poway Church of Christ in 1981 and 1983.

They entered the ministry as missionaries, planting churches in Mexico City and Miami. He and Michele also led churches and ministries in Puerto Rico, Jamaica, and New York. After returning to San Diego, they led the San Diego church of Christ for 10 yrs. Robert Carrillo then served as CEO of HOPE worldwide for four years.

They recently served the Metro region of Los Angeles from 2019 -2024. He is an Evangelist and Teacher with the Los Angeles church and serves on the ICOC Global Teachers and Minister Wellness committees as well as the US SCUAD.

He and Michele remain deeply in Love, enjoying their children, grandchildren, two dogs, and a parrot. According to Robert, the study and practice of Spiritual Formation has been a life-changing experience. He feels a special calling from God to help leaders and mature Christians to mature and experience a transformative walk with God.
